Just had to tell something about my recent portable contact. Sitting at the end of our dock on the Indian River here in Melbourne Beach FL (east coast) just had a contact with W7WLL, Don located on the central coast of OR on 17 meters. The MP-1 was clamped to a picnic bench with one counterpoise wire. He was S8 with 350 watts, I was S3-5 at 5 watts. Isn't this hobby great and
exciting... John.

A set of six 7uH coils are used on 20M. Six smaller coils are used on the higher bands. Matching is provided by an integral hair pin adjustment.

All element length settings are provided in the instruction manual with tape measure for quick adjustment. Ideal for operating on a 21 ft push up mast. A band change is less than 10 minutes to lower the antenna, change the elements and rise back up. All adjustments can be accomplished by one person.
